Section 465IAC2-13-51. Volunteers

  •    (a) A child caring institution which utilizes volunteers shall have and follow a written plan. The plan shall include provision for the following:

    (1) Reference checks.

    (2) Supervision by a paid staff member.

    (3) Orientation and training in the philosophy of the child caring institution, the needs of children in care, and the methods of meeting those needs.

      (b) If volunteers are in direct contact with the residents, they shall meet the same age and health requirements as paid direct care staff.
