Rule 410IAC7-24. Sanitary Standards for the Operation of Retail Food Establishments |
Section 410IAC7-24-419. Medicine restrictions and storage

(a) Only those medicines that are necessary for the health of employees shall be allowed in a retail food establishment. This section does not apply to medicines that are stored or displayed for retail sale.
(b) Medicines that are in a retail food establishment for the employees' use shall be:
(1) labeled as specified under section 437 of this rule; and
(2) located to prevent the contamination of:
(A) food;
(B) equipment;
(C) utensils;
(D) linens; and
(E) single-service and single-use articles.
(c) For purposes of this section, a violation of subsection (a) or (b) is a critical item.
