Section 410IAC5-6.1-26. "Coefficient of variation" defined

Latest version.
  •

                                    As used in this rule, "coefficient of variation" means the ratio of the standard deviation to the mean value of a population of observations. It is estimated using the following equation:

    func {C` =` s over x` =` 1 over x left [ SUM from {i=1} to n
{(X sub i -
X)} over {n-1} right ] sup {1 over 2}}

    Where:

    C

    =

    Coefficient of variation

    s

    =

    Estimated standard deviation of the population

    X

    =

    Mean value of observations in sample

    Xi

    =

    Value of the ith observation in sample

    n

    =

    Number of observations in sample
