4. "Health care worker" means any covered individual providing health care for or to a patient during the patient's care or treatment and whose professional, employment, volunteer, or student training duties or activities can be reasonably anticipated to result in skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
