Section 410IAC1-2.5-29. "Expedited partner therapy" or "EPT" defined

Latest version.
  •    "Expedited partner therapy" or "EPT" means the practice of treating sexual partners of patients diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease (specifically chlamydia or gonorrhea, or both) without an intervening medical evaluation. EPT is a treatment option to increase the likelihood that sex partners get needed medication thus reducing the risk of reinfection and potential further dissemination of these diseases within the community.
