Rule 405IAC5-13. Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded |
Section 405IAC5-13-8. Admission to large state ICFs/IID

Admissions to large state ICFs/IID shall be based upon a determination of the need for such care by the division of disability, aging, and rehabilitative services/bureau of developmental disabilities services. The interdisciplinary professional team from the proposed placement facility, as required by federal law, shall review the comprehensive evaluation covering physical, emotional, social, and cognitive factors to ensure the member's needs are met. The office must authorize the reimbursement of each member prior to the first Medicaid payment.
