This section requires nursing facilities certified to provide nursing facility care to Medicaid members to electronically transmit minimum data set (MDS) information for all residents, including residents in a noncertified bed, to the office for use in establishing and maintaining a case mix reimbursement system for Medicaid payments to nursing facilities and other Medicaid program management purposes.
