United States Savings Bonds are considered available for Medicaid eligibility purposes beginning on the date of purchase. During the six (6) month period following the date of issue, bonds are valued for eligibility purposes as follows:
(1) Bonds issued at face value, including, but not limited to, Series I and HH bonds, are valued at face value.
(2) Bonds issued for less than face value, including, but not limited to, Series EE bonds, are valued at the purchase price.
