Section 355IAC3-4-8. Container valves and appurtenances; protection

  •    (a) Containers and appurtenances shall be located or protected by suitable barriers so as to avoid damage by trucks or other vehicles. Main container shutoff valves shall be kept closed and locked when the installation is unattended.

      (b) Storage containers need not be grounded.

      (c) Container storage areas shall be accessible to emergency vehicles and personnel. All areas occupied by storage installations shall be kept free of dry grass, weeds, and other combustible materials. Manually controlled valves, which, if open, would allow gas to discharge into the atmosphere, shall be kept locked when the installation is unattended.
