Section 345IAC3-4-12. Validation as Brucellosis-free herd

  •    Validated herd means a herd of swine that has a negative herd test provided the owner(s) of the herd has signed the agreement required by the cooperating agencies. Validation shall be for twelve (12) months from the date of the test provided the herd is maintained separate and apart from all other swine. All herd additions are limited to the following:

    (1) Swine from a validated herd without a test. (A negative test not required─but preferred.)

    (2) Swine from herds without evidence or history of infection that have passed a negative test within thirty (30) days prior to purchase and are isolated and found negative to a retest not less than thirty (30) days nor more than sixty (60) days following transfer.
