Section 345IAC2-4.5-5. Suspects, reactor, and affected herds

  •    (a) The state veterinarian may quarantine cervidae that are classified a suspect or a reactor and sexually intact animals in affected herds.

      (b) Cervidae that are classified a suspect or a reactor and affected herds must meet the requirements of the Brucellosis in Cervidae Uniform Methods and Rules, Part VI before animals may be moved from the herd and the quarantine released.

      (c) The state veterinarian may order any suspect or reactor cervid condemned in order to protect the public health and the health of animals in Indiana.
