Section 345IAC1-7-9. Acquisition of animals and objects by voluntary sale

  •    The state veterinarian may do the following:

    (1) Purchase any animal or object for the purpose of:

    (A) preventing;

    (B) detecting;

    (C) controlling; and

    (D) eradicating;

    diseases and pests of animals.

    (2) Negotiate and pay a fair value for any animal or object purchased.
