Latest version.
  •   2. "Quench tower" means a chimney-like structure equipped with a water spray system and a sump to catch the excess water. The tower is designed to accommodate a quench car which is positioned under the tower prior to a quench. During the quenching of coke, the water flows from the quench reservoir into the nozzles by gravity and is dispersed onto the hot coke held by the quench car.
