Section 326IAC8-21-6. Control equipment and monitoring

  •    (a) As an alternative to complying with the VOC content limits in section 3(a) of this rule, an owner or operator may achieve compliance with this rule by using approved air pollution control equipment provided that the control system has combined VOC emissions capture and control equipment efficiency of at least eighty-one percent (81%) by weight.

      (b) Each owner or operator shall submit a monitoring plan that specifies the applicable operating parameter value, or range of values, to ensure ongoing compliance with subsection (a). The monitoring device shall be:

    (1) installed;

    (2) calibrated;

    (3) operated; and

    (4) maintained;

    in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

      (c) Each owner or operator using an enclosed spray gun cleaner shall visually inspect the seals and all other potential sources of leaks at least once per month.
