Section 312IAC9-11-9. Classification of endangered species or threatened species

  •    (a) If an application is submitted under this rule to possess a wild animal that is an endangered species or a threatened species, but the animal is not identified in sections 6 through 8 of this rule, the division shall designate the wild animal as being within Class I, Class II, or Class III before the permit is issued.

      (b) The division may require that a wild animal possessed under this section is identified with an individually unique transponder, a unique notch, or another method of permanent marking approved by the director.
