Section 312IAC5-10-1. Boating restrictions on specified lakes and reservoirs with state or federal funding; applicability

  •    (a) This rule establishes special boating zones on lakes and reservoirs financed either wholly or in part with state or federal funds.

      (b) The zones established under this rule may do any of the following:

    (1) Provide for the safe operation of boats where unusual conditions or hazards exist.

    (2) Provide for the protection of any person who uses the lake or reservoir.

    (3) Establish quiet areas where the use of boats is limited or prohibited in order to aid fish and wildlife management.

      (c) A zone established under this rule is identified on-site by buoys placed under 312 IAC 5-4.

      (d) A person or boat doing business for the department is exempt from a provision which prohibits a person or boat from entering a zone.
