Title 25. INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION |
Article 25IAC2. PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION |
Rule 25IAC2-6. Receipt and Acceptance of Bids |
Section 25IAC2-6-6. Single bid received; criteria for acceptance
-
If after proper solicitation of bids, only one bid is received, the Director shall make a thorough review of the situation in consort with the operating department to determine whether the one bid should be accepted or rejected and rebid. In making this judgment they should consider the type of work, its competitiveness, the timely need of the project, the possibility of unfavorable prices if rebid, the possible loss of the low bidder if rebid, and the equitable fairness to the single bidder of having his bid divulged to subsequent bidders if the project is rebid.
