Section 210IAC3-1-20. Suicide screening and prevention

Latest version.

   (a) There shall be a written suicide prevention and intervention program that is reviewed and approved by a qualified medical or mental health professional.

  (b) The program shall include procedures for the following:

(1) Screening/assessment.

(2) Communication.

(3) Housing.

(4) Supervision of low-risk and high-risk suicidal inmates.

(5) Intervention.

(6) Reporting.

(7) Mortality review.

(8) More frequent observation intervals for inmates determined to be at high risk.
