Section 205IAC2-3-1. Eligibility

(a) In order to be eligible for public safety improvement area designation, an area must be as follows:
(1) Within a consolidated or second class city.
(2) Have a high crime rate.
(3) Have boundaries that are expressly designated by the legislative body.
(4) Not comprise more than twenty percent (20%) of the city's geographical territory.
(b) In addition to subsection (a), the legislative body that governs the area for which designation is sought must submit a plan for improving public safety developed by area participants.
