Section 140IAC1-2-7. Time limits on sending the request for evidence of financial responsibility

   (a) To send out the request for evidence of financial responsibility, the bureau must receive the accident report or a copy of the accident report prescribed in IC 9-25-5-2 or IC 9-26-3-3 within three (3) years after the accident date.

  (b) To send out the request for evidence of financial responsibility, the bureau must receive the certified abstract prescribed in IC 9-25-9-1(a)(1), or the judgment or abstract prescribed in IC 9-25-9-1(a)(2), within three (3) years of the date of conviction, judgment, or forfeiture of security deposit.
