  •    Definitions. (A) Where applicable the definitions set forth in the State Rail Preservation Act [IC 8-3-1.5] and the federal Regional Rail Reorganization Act of 1973 shall be applicable to these rules, and

      (B) The term "Rail Segment" shall mean a portion of track identified by the United States Railway Association, in their Final System Plan, the limits of which are defined in terms of mile posts, and

      (C) The term "Rail Service Continuation Assistance" shall mean any financial assistance provided to cover operating losses, rehabilitation, maintenance, administration or other services necessary for the continued operation of rail service on a rail segment, and

      (D) The term "State Rail Plan" shall mean a comprehensive plan for rail segments not included in the Final System Plan of the United States Railway Association pursuant to the federal Regional Rail Reorganization Act of 1973 that must be prepared by the State of Indiana in order to receive federal funds pursuant to said act.
